Last week, we were honored to recognize one of our Lindbergh alumn, Gary Glasby. Gary played for the
Flyers from 1998-2002 and was an all-conference running back and defensive back. In college, Gary
played for Joliet Junior College and for Upper Iowa. At Upper Iowa, he was conference player of the year. At LHS, Gary was also a member of the 2001 (4 x 100 meter) state championship relay team.
Gary was accompanied by one of his high school coaches, Mike Greenstein. Mike is currently a teacher at LHS
and coached for the Flyers from 1985-2004.
Tragically in March of 2016, Gary suffered traumatic injuries while on duty as a St. Louis Police officer
when his patrol car was hit by a truck.
Last Friday night, Lindbergh and Fox High School student councils organized a collection for both Gary
and for Arnold police officer Ryan O’Connor, who is also a Lindbergh alumn. Both are being recognized on
September 22 at Mike Flamion “Hot Dogs for Heros” at Chesterfield Mall.
Let’s come together and support these two “heros”!
